Listen. Can you hear it? Oh, that’s right. You can’t hear anything because there’s nothing to hear! Both kids are gone. Hubby is at work and I have the whole house to myself. Yes, the whole house. By myself. With nothing to do. OK, there’s plenty to do but the real question is “Am I going to them any of them?”
While Michael was gone for the weekend to a football game, Belle had homecoming. Here’s a picture of her from the dance, I have to say she looked quite stunning. Unfortunately she really didn’t look 15 (16 in a month) either. They really grow up way to fast.
To celebrate my rare “day alone” I’m going to spend the day blogging. My plan is to make some cheesecloth ghosts for a post over at Chick Chat This and That. Stop over there on Wednesday and check it out. I’ve also been baking up a storm so I have some new cupcake recipes to share with you.
As I sat down to do my menu planning I did need to make sure that whatever I serve for dinner tonight needs to be easy since I’m boycotting grocery shopping today. Our grocery store is about 30 minutes away shopping is not a quick endeavor. An endeavor which, quite frankly, I’m not willing to undertake today. While selling at our local farmer’s market I was set up next to a soup vendor. I bought some homemade chicken noodle soup from her so that’s what we’ll be having tonight.
Here’s what we’re eating this week
- Chicken noodle soup, homemade bread, lemon chiffon cupcakes
- Chicken and stuffing casserole, salad, broccoli, cranberry relish, dinner rolls
- Spaghetti and meatballs, strawberry salad, glazed carrots, garlic bread
- Meatloaf, salad, homemade applesauce, bread
- Dinner out
- Fend for yourself x2
That’s it for us. What are you cooking? Feel free to share your menu or a link in the comment section.
I”ll be linking this up at I’m an Organizing Junkie.
