Weekly Menu

On Monday we pick up our exchange student, she’ll be staying with us for the next two weeks.  I’ve been chitchatting quite a bit with her mom as we decided what to show her while she was here.  Her mother has said a number of times she really was interested is just seeing normal American family life.  Hmmmm, what does “normal” American life look like?

The problem is having a school full of exchange students isn’t really normal American life.  The kids are so excited for their guests that they’re planning all kinds of events.  Haunted houses, sleepovers, hayrides – it’s normal life on steroids!  Hopefully our guest doesn’t go back to Germany thinking that Americans don’t know how to cook and eat out all the time!

Here’s what I’m planning on serving this week.  Spaghetti and Meatballs will be her first “American” meal while she’s with us.  The only other night that we have a family night planned we’re going to take her out to one of our favorite restaurants.

What’s on your menu for the week?

I’ll be linking up at I’m an Organizing Junkie
