What a beautiful weekend! While a bit nippy, the sun was out and we had a lot of fun. Friday night Mike and I attended a friends wedding where The Chicks were in full dance mode. Saturday morning I could barely walk, I’m hoping I’m not the only one Saturday we also had a birthday party for my niece. I decided last Christmas that I had already bought to much so I saved her White House Christmas Ornament for her birthday.
Mike is traveling this week so I’m planning on inviting my parents over for dinner. Other than that, it’s pretty much going to be me and Belle. Belle is usually gone three nights a week so it’s really just me.
My grocery bill has been out of control the last few weeks. Last week I spent $265 for our weekly shopping and then spent another $55 the morning I did my freezer cooking (I do have to confess I also spent another $10 on a Cher CD while I was shopping for freezer stuff). I was hoping that this week would be a cheap week but Mike has informed me that it’s going to be extra expensive since he will need a lot of travel food. Ugh! My plan to mitigate our grocery spend this week is to 1) make use of some of the food I put up last week during my freezer cooking 2) shop from my pantry and freezer. My goal is to keep my spend under $180, this will allow me to at least stay under my bi-weekly budget of $500. I’m hoping that at some point my grocery bill will reflect that Michael moved out!
